Description

Located in the heart of Patagonia, the ranch we operate our hunts on is legendary for its free range stag hunting. The property consists of a river valley surrounded by three different mountain ranges. During the roar, stag begin to leave the rugged high country and pour into the valley in search of the large resident population of hinds (female red deer) that live here year round. This ranch has been in the same family for nearly 100 years, providing a glimpse into the rich history of hunting and agriculture in Argentina. The valley is reminiscent of a Montana landscape from the 1940's, and remains a working cattle operation

What to Expect

All hunts are done in true spot and stalk fashion. In the mornings hunters will accompany their guide to strategic glassing knobs using 4x4 trucks and locate stags. Finding animals is not a challenge here and it is not uncommon to see large numbers of stags throughout the day. However, we implement strict trophy management practices, and work hard to find hunters the oldest stag possible. The morning sessions are followed by breakfast, a siesta, lunch, and then back out to hunt the evenings. When a trophy is spotted, your guide will determine the best plan of attack and the stalk will begin. Most of the rifle shots taken are between 150 and 250 yards. Archery hunters should be comfortable with 40-50 yard shots. All of our hunts take place during "the roar"ensuring you have the best opportunity for harvest. We do not mix groups, so your group will have the entire property to yourself.

Payment terms Reservations are confirmed with a 50% deposit. All deposits & payments are 100% non-refundable under any circumstances. Final payment is due 60 days prior to departure or cash upon arrival at the lodge (preferred)

Camp/Accommodations

The estancia offers some of the most spectacular scenery in northern Patagonia, while extending over eighty thousand acres of land. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are first class and are enjoyed at the main lodge. Three beautiful private cabins, which were built about ten years ago, surround the lodge and overlook the lake. Waking up in the morning and looking out the window provides an unforgettable moment.
