What to Expect

A free-range red stag hunt in mountain terrain and in the real conditions of Patagonia.

This is a demanding, primarily spot-and-stalk hunt on foot, with long walks, elevation changes, native forests and rugged terrain. Weather can change quickly: mornings and evenings can be very cold, while afternoons can be warm and pleasant.

During the rut, stags are located through observation, tracking and careful approach, always hunting one-on-one with your guide. Every day is different, and the terrain sets the pace of the hunt.

There are no fences and no released animals. Hunters should be physically prepared and willing to earn every opportunity in the field.

After a day in the mountains, the lodge offers a warm, family-style atmosphere, excellent comfort and good food-a place to relax and enjoy the experience. The camaraderie among hunters and sharing the stories of each day are also an important part of the stay.

Camp/Accommodations

A place to come back to after the mountain Our private lodge has the spirit of a Patagonian country house, surrounded by mountains and rivers. After a full day on foot, it's where your body rests and the group comes back together. It has four bedrooms, each with a private bathroom, heating and Wi-Fi, so you can rest in comfort without giving up your privacy. Groups are small, with personal attention throughout your stay. Our packages include all meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner) and drinks, so all you have to think about is the hunt. The cooking is homemade and shared family-style, in a warm, welcoming atmosphere where you talk, raise a glass and swap the stories of the day. That camaraderie among hunters around the table is as much a part of the experience as the mountain itself.
