With exclusive access in the areas where we hunt, Swan Mountain Outfitters is able to offer archery elk hunters perhaps one of the most unique and best opportunities to bag an elk of a lifetime. We have a very large area under permit which affords us the opportunity to set aside specific areas to hunt elk with a bow exclusively. These are remote wilderness locations in NW Montana, and we access them via horseback, and utilize a spike camp approach. Our archery elk hunts are seven days but the hunters will actually hunt 5 days, with the rest of the time spent getting to and from the area.

Terms & Conditions

$1000 non-refundable deposit per hunter is required upon reserving. A secondary non-refundable deposit of $2000 is due in March. The remaining balance is due June 1st.

Physical Requirements

We use horses to ride into spike camp, then spend next 5 days hunting on foot. Horses are brought back in to ride out. Terrain is steep and rugged; having the physical ability to go where the animals are is a huge factor in a successful hunt.

Permit & Tag Application Process

Tags go to a draw on April 1st each year. We submit license applications on behalf of our booked hunters. Preference point purchase will greatly increase odds of drawing a tag.
