Alberta, Canada • This hunt takes place in our southern zone. A mix of badlands, steep coulees, river valleys and open agricultural fields makes a bow hunt challenging, but exciting! Expect to see 50-150 deer on any given day, with a shooter buck being considered 175" or better - unless the antlers have distinguishing characteristics such as non-typical or drop tines. This can be an extremely demanding hunt physically, depending on the clients physical condition - but remember, the biggest deer are often in the most difficult terrain. Weather can vary dramatically - from 90+ degrees in the early season, to -15 in a late season hunt. We will inform you within a week of the hunt date of what weather conditions are called for, and you can pack gear accordingly. Accommodations are in a comfortable, fully equipped house. You will get weekly updates starting in July from pre-season scouting, including photos of shooter deer found, weather conditions and any other information relevant to your hunt.

Alberta • Start your season off with a spring black bear hunt with MacGregor Outfitting Ltd. Our black bear hunts are held in a remote area of the Northern Alberta boreal forest, in the months of may and early June. You will be hunting primarily out of a stand or blind at a established bait site. spot and stalk style hunts are a definite possibility; depending on the opportunity at hand and how your guide sees fit. We have long established baited sites, which bait is replenished regularly. Many big boars frequent the area, with about 25% being color phase bears. we strive to only harvest mature bears and manage our area accordingly. Allowing young boars to grow and mature. We happily accommodate rifle and bow hunters. bringing a rifle/bow you are comfortable and consistent with is key (minimum .270). shot distance when at the bait is between 20-100 yards, depending if you are bow or rifle hunting. spot and stalk range can vary from 10 yards to 300 yards, depending on the opportunity given. This is a Perfect hunt to start off the season, whether it is your first guided hunt or you have done many guided hunts. We can ensure the adrenaline will be flowing when you see the bears coming in. Alberta • Join us for one of the most sought after big game animals in north American. Wolves are an elusive and very intelligent species. hunting wolves is not only challenging, but requires patience like no other hunt. these hunts are baited hunts and require you to sit for long periods of time (morning 'til dusk). you will be set up over an active bait site in a heated, comfortable blind for 8-9 hours per day. Dressing warm is a must as temperatures can be cold as -30C (-22F). bringing a rifle you are comfortable and consistent with is key (minimum .243). shots should be expected to be around the 200-300 yard mark.
