Spain
• The Southeastern Ibex is one of Spain's most prized and testing quarry, a sure-footed, sharp-eyed mountain animal that demands patience, fieldcraft, and a good eye for ground. We offer guided ibex hunts in the Sierra Nevada National Park in southern Spain, a protected wilderness of exceptional beauty spanning high alpine terrain, sun-bleached rock faces, and sweeping views across Andalucía. The tags we have available are open in terms of trophy size so you can have a conversation with the guide when a larger or medal animal presents itself.
Hunting is conducted entirely on foot using traditional spot-and-stalk methods. Mornings begin with glassing the mountainside from height - reading the ibex's movement, judging the wind, and working out an approach. When a suitable animal is located, your guide will plan the stalk: a careful, unhurried route that closes the distance to a clean and ethical shot. These are not easy days, but they are deeply rewarding ones.
Days in the field are guided by an experienced local professional with an intimate knowledge of the Sierra Nevada's terrain and ibex behaviour. Groups are kept small - a maximum of four hunters and observers, to ensure a personal, attentive experience on the hill.
