Roe & Muntjac Hunting in EnglandFrom $4,000 to $8,000
United Kingdom • Escape to the English countryside for an unforgettable roe and muntjac deer experience on a classic Norfolk estate, just two hours north-east of London. Your base for the trip is Gowthorpe Manor, an Elizabethan Manor hour built in the 16th century, where you'll enjoy two nights of comfortable country-house accommodation, good food, and easy access to the stalking grounds. Hunting takes place over a traditional Norfolk estate with a healthy population of both roe and muntjac. Guests will stalk at first and last light, moving through arable fields, woodland edges and hedgerows – ideal ground for close, exciting encounters. Mornings are typically spent spot-and-stalk, with flexible options for evenings depending on conditions and guest preference. For those able to travel in mid-summer, we strongly recommend timing the trip to coincide with the roe rut (July–August in England). This is one of the most exciting and fast-paced ways to hunt roe, calling in territorial bucks as they respond aggressively to intruders. Shots can come quickly and at close range, making for a highly engaging and memorable hunt. Whether you are looking for your first British deer or adding to an existing collection, this Norfolk roe and muntjac package offers: - Two nights at Gowthorpe Manor - Guided stalking on a private Norfolk estate - Opportunity for muntjac and roe, with prime rut dates available in July–August - A classic English sporting break, easily combined with time in London or elsewhere in the UK.
British Six Species, Five Days Challenge (6 Deer, 4 Nights)From $25,000 to $50,000
United Kingdom • Deer stalking (hunting) for all six UK deer species in a single trip, combining lowland and Highland sport over five days. This programme is designed for experienced hunters who wish to complete the full British deer "grand slam" – Muntjac, Chinese water deer, Roe, Fallow, Sika and Red – in one carefully planned itinerary, something many stalkers spend a lifetime attempting. To our knowledge, Griffin Sporting is the only outfitter currently offering this as a single, integrated experience in the UK. Your journey begins with collection from London Heathrow and transfer to Gowthorpe Manor, an Elizabethan manor house in Norfolk and your base for the lowland phase. From here, we focus on the lowland species across approximately 3,000 acres of ground in the south, targeting Muntjac and Chinese water deer, alongside opportunities for Roe and Fallow, using a mix of high seats and foot stalking tailored to conditions and your preferences. Midway through the trip we travel north by light aircraft for efficiency, continuing to our Highland lodge in Scotland. Here, on a 7,000‑acre block of open hill and woodland, you will stalk the two classic Highland species: Sika and Red stags. As with our dedicated Highland packages, you will be fully catered and looked after by the Griffin Sporting team throughout, with all logistics, transfers and guiding arranged to give you the best possible chance of completing all six species within the time available.
